Ray Collett, Technical Director
Ray, aka The Scriptinator, has been taking care of technical matters at
NC3D since 2002. Ray holds a bachelor's of Applied Science in Computer
Animation from The Art Institute of Portland. As our official Reverse
Engineer, he claims the first step in solving any problem is to throw
away the manual. Ray is an active member of SIGGRAPH who enjoys skiing,
hunting, Sci-Fi books and breakfast. As proud owner of “the largest
screen” he hosts our weekly movie night, and speaking of hosting, check
out Norwesters.org, Ray's Web Hosting &
Design service. |
Jared Boehm, Visualization Specialist
Jared the Output Guy has been with NC3D since 2003. A graduate of The Art Institute of Portland, he deftly wields a B.S. in Computer Animation, closely monitoring every pixel that passes through our offices. He enjoys video games, movies, hiking and photography, and recently purchased his first home with his lovely wife. When pressed (but not too hard), Jared will regale you with his “voices,” which include Smeagol and Gollum.

Engineering from the Technical University of Brno in the Czech
Republic, and has over 12 years of experience in his field. Dan is
admired around the office for his feats of rendering wizardry, and
placed second in CGArchitects Challenge #4 – Rendering Drama. In his
free time, Dan prefers to be outdoors, backpacking, skiing, biking,
traveling and paragliding. He loves spending time with his wife and two-year-old son Lukas and he also appreciates a well-crafted, homemade
plum brandy.

Paul Collett, Business Manager
Paul has been keeping business in order at NC3D since 2003. A B.B.A. with an emphasis in Small Business Management from
Portland State University, seven years experience working with 2D
computer graphics and three years in web development prepared Paul for
the most daunting challenge yet encountered in his professional career
- conquering the incompetence of Qwest. When he is not on the phone
with Qwest support, Paul is heavily involved with the Boy Scouts of
America as an Assistant Scoutmaster and OA Lodge Ceremonies Advisor.
He also collects Scout patches, has visited most of the 50 states, and
has driven his snowmobile into a gaping crevasse.

Paul Leser, Visualization Specialist

where he received his bachelors of Fine Arts, specializing in
Industrial Design. During his career, Paul has designed light
fixtures, designed and built both furniture and exhibits, and created a
variety of digital illustrations. He makes his own furniture. For
entertainment, Paul prefers to ride his bicycle, play bocce ball and do
a little drawing when the mood strikes.

Matt Griffey, Visualization Specialist
Matt has been with NC3D slightly north of two years now. After
attending Eastern Oregon University with the dream of becoming a
zoologist, he made the natural switch and completed a degree in Media
Art and Animation at the Art Institute of Portland. Matt likes to play
pool, play guitar and watch other people play baseball. He lives with
his 30 year-old turtle Tyrone. |

Aubrey Pullman, Visualization Specialist
Aubrey recently made his exodus from Seattle where he spent nine years creating
art for computer games with companies such as Sierra and Microsoft.
His last shipped game was Forza Motorsport II, an Xbox 360 racing
sim. Aubrey has a bachelor's in Art from Evergreen State College.
When not hard at work at his computer, he enjoys zipping around on
his motorcycle and taking pictures, but not at the same time.

Jared Hopkins, Visualization Specialist
Jared has been at NC3D since 2006. He earned a master's in Architecture from the University of Idaho and also studied Engineering at the University of New Mexico. He's done research for The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), a "green" building rating system, in order to instruct, test and improve proposed architectural projects. Originally hailing from the Chicago area, Jared is an avid biker (as in, jumps 10-foot gaps) and massive Starcraft fan. He speaks a rusty, but fluent Spanish, has a strong interest in the Battle of Britain and makes found object sketch books when bored. He cohabitates with two very fluffy cats, Dagny and Acis.

Justin MacGregor, 3D Modeler
Justin joined NC3D in 2007 after two years with Capstone Technology,
and he seems to be surviving the switch. He is a graduate of The Art
Institute of Portland with a bachelor's in Media Arts and Animation.
In his time with us he claims to have learned volumes about using Xrefs
and Scripts to make his work flow more efficiently in 3D Max. When
Justin's not plugging away at his models, he prefers to be
snowboarding, pumping iron, painting and drawing - a habit he's had
since he was a wee lad.

Erin Olson, Marketing Coordinator
Erin has been with NC3D long enough to
start updating this website. She has a B.B.A. from Andrews University
with an emphasis in Marketing, partially completed minors in
everything from web design to political science, and interned with
the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra. Her greatest professional
accomplishment was planning the grand opening event for an orthopedic
clinic. Erin loves her overweight cat Lola, Scrabble, and the delicious partnership of chocolate and hazelnut.
