In 2004, we produced a seven-minute animation showing BRT and streetcar
options along a 12-block segment of K-Street in Downtown Washington,
D.C. The animation combined detailed urban design and engineering, and
over 3,000 vehicles to illustrate the key features and issues of the
project. The vehicles were simulated by traffic engineering software
Vissim and demonstrate realistic traffic volumes and interactions with
the transit system.
