K Street Busway
In 2004, we produced a seven-minute animation showing BRT and streetcar options along a 12-block segment of K-Street in Downtown Washington, D.C.  The animation combined detailed urban design and engineering, and over 3,000 vehicles to illustrate the key features and issues of the project.  The vehicles were simulated by traffic engineering software Vissim and demonstrate realistic traffic volumes and interactions with the transit system.

Charles Street Trolley
NC3D produced 3D animations and visual simulations of concepts for a Portland-style streetcar along historic South Charles Street in downtown Baltimore, Maryland. The animations included a 4-minute trolley ride along 0.7 mile segment of the project corridor.  Working with Kittleson & Associates and the Charles Street Development Corporation, NC3D developed the animations by creating a detailed photo-textured 3D model of the street and inserting elements of the Portland, Oregon streetcar system adapted by NC3D for Charles Street.
